The UK private pension pot: the population saves an average of £325 per month

Your retirement days may seem like a long way off but starting early with planning for that stage in your life, can really pay off and reduce financial worries.

According to True Potential Investor’s  research, personal pension contributions varied across UK regions during Q4 2016, with people saving a monthly average of £325. Regions that stand out as saving below the UK average, with contributions between £1 and £300, are: East Midlands (28%), West Midlands (24%) and Yorkshire & Humberside (23%).
